"I seem to be a brief light that flashes but once in all the aeons of time — a rare, complicated, and all-too-delicate organism on the fringe of biological evolution, where the wave of life bursts into individual, sparkling, and multicolored drops that gleam for a moment...only to vanish forever." ~Alan Watts...

I grew up on it, I heard it in the music my father Qplayed, I saw it in my childhood films, the heroes were American, the idols and it was consumed in red blue and green pixels and on the cassette tapes playing on a loop and MTV making gods and demons of my generations musicians, the unstoppable cult of celebrity. I watched cable news as the twin towers fell, hours and hours I watched and I couldn’t turn off.. I watched the war begin and I never watched it end, the attacks in London and Paris, the shootings the disasters all in red blue and green pixels. I watched hope begin and I watched it fizzle to animosity, like one side had forever won so there was no need to guard the door anymore.

Then when I was in my 30s I saw it for myself, not in RGB, something that looked the same but was changing again, I saw the pickets I saw the anger brew on both sides.

And then I had to watch in RGB again, but now it feels more real. I watched hate and hope, hero’s and cowards.
